The Alice Project
The Alice Project, which can be downloaded for free at www.alice.org, is an interactive learning environment used to teach programming through animation. There are numerous sets of models to choose from when creating an animation, and I created 3 of those sets: a pilgrim set, a biblical set, and an urban set. The models had to have a low polygon count for the Alice engine and all of the limbs had to be separate pieces of geometry. Here are some of the character models I created for Alice as they appear in the Alice program along with a tutorial I wrote on how to create a character model and import it into Alice.
